Life is Beautiful

Sometimes we all just need to be reminded of how beautiful life truly is. Having a child makes you very aware of this. There is beauty in every moment, Claire shows me this daily. This week I will not be online as I am taking a break from the cyber world to live, laugh, and love in the REAL WORLD! Claire and I have lots of adventures to go on, and not all of them need to be shared or documented. It's time for us.

Peace, love, and pickles

City of Fog

We have been locked in by fog for 4 days here. Thick, cold, misty, swirling fog the curls itself around branches and bodies. The kind of weather that makes you want to crawl back into bed and hide under the covers with your cat, but when you have an active toddler AND a puppy that is not an option. We have been braving the cold and exploring the woods and I am so thankful for it! The woods are so quiet and mysterious right now, its very peaceful walking through them. Claire and I look at moss and touch all the tree trunks feeling their textures while Juno chases fairies only she can see in the fog. If I'd stayed in bed with kitty I would have missed all the fun! I thought I would share some photos from our woodland adventures. Enjoy!

J'Adore Fall!

Some pretty pictures from an early morning fall walk with Claire. I used some fun apps for these: Snapseed and Simply HDR. What photo app do you like to use?

Claire Bear: A Photo Update

Claire has been enjoying the dog days of summer, laying about in the grass and sun watching the birds and the clouds. She loves nature
Officially not a "baby" anymore, attention folks we have a toddler on our hands!
Claire has discovered that she LOVES watermelon, she would eat an entire melon if I let her
Resently she has started giving hugs and kisses, this makes mommy VERY happy
She has also started giving me little gifts like flowers, rocks, and twigs. I treasure each and every one
PASTAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!
This week was also Claire's first day of daycare. I couldn't stop taking pictures of my big girl! Clearly she was less then impressed. It was only 1 day for 5 hours, but it felt like FOREVER! I was so excited to pick her up!
The other day we went for a train ride at Bear Creek Park here in Surrey. This is her eagerly awaiting the train and having a snack, she kept saying CHOO CHOO with a mouth full of food
And finally the choo choo came, she was SO excited!!!!
After our train ride we went out for a dinner date and someone got a special Pirate Pack. She wore half of her dinner home with her that night. My heart SWELLED to 10 ties its size watching her sit there like a big girl, chattering away to me in her funny baby talk.

A Picture Speaks a Thousands Words

Lately I find myself incredibly sensitive to everything around me, it doesn't take much to make me cry or rage. I can't handle the news, violent TV/movies upset me and honestly I can barely make it through book 3 of The Hunger Games I am so sensitive! I know, pathetic! So in an effort to soothe my loud and anxious mind I find myself looking at images that bring peace and calm to my soul.

Late last night I stumbled on these gems from my trip to Bali and thought I would share them with you all. May they soothe your troubled soul, or if your soul is riding a wave of bliss then may they encourage you to travel and explore this beautiful world!

1 is so Much Fun: Photo Post

Everyday this kid just get's funnier and funnier. Lately she has started laughing at her own farts. Yup, my kid...the fart joke kid. I couldn't be prouder (sniff, sniff....they grow up so fast!) Claire is hilarious! She is full of life, love and positive energy. She makes my life so much fuller and brighter. Here are some of my favorite shots of her that I have taken in the past week or so.
