The Blogging Baby Blues

Blogging with a baby is hard! I really do miss blogging, and am sorry I haven't posted more. Not just for my readers but for myself! It brings me so much joy and is an important creative outlet for me. But alas this child just does not nap longer then 20 minutes at a time during the day, and frankly those 20 minutes can be better spent then on blogging. Say, oh I dunno, maybe having a shower! I tell yah, you have a child and you suddenly fall madly in love with hot hot showers. At any rate, I am rambling. My point is that until today I simply did not have any free hands to blog with....but then I had a brain storm! I stuck Claire into my Baby Buddha sling, turned on a white noise app on my IPhone (a MUST have for any mom) and conked Claire out with a 10 minute bouncy walk around the house. I am now sitting here blogging, Claire bundled into her sling, with ocean waves and wind chimes playing in the background from my IPhone. Not bad. Not bad at all. I'M BACK BABY! BOOOO YAH!

Things with Claire have been going really well lately. She is still a gassy child, and that can make her fussy at times, but she is a happy child. Full of smiles and coos. I have a new mommy-friend who I meet for coffee every week, and today Claire happily stared at all the new faces in Starbucks while mommy had her Chai latte. Really, I cant ask for anymore!

The other night she slept from 11pm to 6am, SOLID! It was pure and utter gold, bliss, heaven, utopia! Both Claire and I felt like a million bucks the next day! I even got to bake and craft. Claire happily played on her play mat while I made her this mobile to hang above her crib

And Daddy took a break from work during the day to spend some quality time with Claire, and I got to bake this awesome Banana, Fig, Rhubarb, Raisin, and sunflower seed loaf! YUM!

So all in all life is good, very busy! But very good. How are all of you my kittens! I miss reading your comments and scoping out your blogs....you may see me visiting very soon!

Peace, love, and pickles
